Description Summary:
As Marketing Manager, you will be joining the company at an exciting time of growth. You will be someone who enjoys the fast pace and challenges of a company and that has an entrepreneurial mindset. You will work closely with the EVP/GM and partner with the Director of Sales to implement an industry-leading marketing program and go to market strategy based on service-led growth and account-based marketing. Goals include building brand awareness and an audience following, and then translating that following into a highly scalable and hyper-efficient demand and lead gen machine. There will be heavy emphasis on demand and lead gen with success ultimately defined by filling the sales pipeline with highly qualified sales opportunities. This is a full-time position in the company’s headquarters in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, execute, and iterate the company’s marketing plan that aligns with and drives achievement of the company’s overall revenue and account acquisition goals and objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of marketing including brand awareness, content marketing, demand / lead gen, sales enablement, service marketing, partner / channel marketing, and events.
  • Continually test and refine target audience, personas, pain points, and W. O. Grubb value proposition and why W. O. Grubb is uniquely qualified to address their challenges.
  • Skillfully employ best practice marketing tactics across multiple channels to fill funnel and drive prospects through entire buyer’s journey from awareness to close.
  • Take a highly scientific approach in experimentation of campaigns and tactics, measurement of results, and tracking of KPIs including pipeline growth, number of qualified opportunities, inbound leads, and conversion rates at every stage of the funnel.
  • Utilize service led and account-based marketing guidelines to segment our target market and craft tailored messages.
  • Ensure that our marketing message accurately conveys why companies choose W. O. Grubb to solve their toughest challenges.
  • Create and manage campaigns that support/align with Sales efforts, including email, direct mail, and content syndication.
  • Track analytics around content conversions, website traffic, campaign performance, and lead funnel conversions.
  • Manage PR firm and any other marketing related services providers, freelancers, or contractors.
  • Set annual marketing calendar to reflect program activities, events, webinars and in market activities.
  • Bring an entrepreneurial approach to our marketing efforts, focusing on both re-engaging previous and existing customers as well as expanding our customer base.
  • Effectively and efficiently engaging simultaneously with colleagues across multiple levels and locations, from regional sales staff to senior management.
  • Perform other related tasks as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in senior level marketing positions in heavy B2B companies.
  • Experience implementing service-led growth strategies from a marketing perspective.
  • Will be highly data-driven, analytical, and methodical in approach and leadership.
  • Able to quickly grasp and then simplify and succinctly explain complex technical concepts in compelling copy and communications.
  • Stellar interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ideally will be someone who is highly energetic, positive, and persuasive.
  • Ability to manage to a budget and coordinate multiple service providers to get results.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.
