Marketing Co-ordinator

CGA is the arm of the Core Group that is responsible for growing the Apple brand across 15+ regions on the continent, and the marketing of, and expansion of the iStore brand.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for, along with the Senior Marketing Manager, taking ownership of the coordination of all marketing and digital advertising activities and executions for both iStore and the regional marketing assistance we do for our partners in the various regions across the continent.

These activities include ideation, concept development, internal creative briefs, internal creative reviews, external media agency briefings, frequent budget and performance optimisations, and high levels of agility and pro-activity. Weekly newsletter database email communication needs to be planned, briefed, and executed in line with the BDF quarterly plans. Performance analysis and monthly reports on all activities are also required.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for financial administration and billing procedures of all digital marketing related costs. The Marketing Coordinator will need to have strong written and verbal skills. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and data-driven approach to marketing campaigns and general decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan iStore and partner media strategies together with the Senior Marketing Manager aligned to marketing plan & strategy and business objectives (including Google, Social media ads, YouTube, Premium Placements, ATL, BTL, TTL, and in-store, etc)
  • Coordinate internal creative and external marketing briefs related to paid marketing
  • Develop marketing project plans with budgets that include target market, objectives and timelines.
  • iStore Africa brand custodian/champion ensuring that all marketing communication mediums are in line with the principles guidelines.
  • Pro-active planning and re-alignment of any and all digital marketing collateral as required.
  • Manage relationships with key external partners & agencies related to Media, ATL, BTL, TTL & Digital Marketing.
  • Manage relationships with all internal stakeholders as required
  • Create, Manage, set up and monitor all advertising campaigns
  • Coordinate the send of weekly customer digital newsletters for digital communications
  • Deal and pricing management of weekly newsletter content Consideration and the marketing they may require to drive numbers for the sales teams.

  • Monthly budget reporting
  • Raise Purchase Orders on Syspro for suppliers engaged, or as per request from Marketing manager
  • Ensure invoices received from suppliers for matching PO’s within time-frame for payment, including invoice sign-off

Educational Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field.

Experience Required:

  • 2+years experience in B2B Marketing Coordination or Agency Account Management
