Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description 

Our client is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their dynamic team within a leading cannabis products manufacturing operation.

Job Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the HR team by handling various administrative tasks and providing efficient services. Collaborating closely with the Human Resources Director, this position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for making a significant impact in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all human resource files and records.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR files and records to ensure proper collection and filing of required documents.
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department.
  • Assist with payroll functions, including processing, resolving employee inquiries, addressing processing errors, and distributing paychecks.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, such as health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Support job postings, interview scheduling, and preparation of offer letter packages.
  • Address frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, and the hiring process.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Conduct or contribute to new hire orientation sessions.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks and duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, clerical work, and payroll administration.
  • Mandatory experience in recruiting.
  • Familiarity with HR software and tools.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $50,000 -$60,000 CAD per year.
