HR Manager

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a retail/FMCG environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Employment Legislation and CCMA proceedings.
  • High levels of confidentiality, resilience, credibility, and trust.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Innovative, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with current labor laws and regulations, ensuring legal compliance in all HR practices.
  • Manage Industrial Relations processes, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, and grievances.
  • Handle statutory returns such as EEA, SDL, and WCC.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the relevant SETA.
  • Oversee Provident fund and Medical Aid programs.
  • Ensure appropriate actioning of employee leave.
  • Manage recruitment and selection processes for new staff.
  • Coordinate and support training and development initiatives.
  • Prepare documentation for job offers, contracts, and job descriptions.
  • Maintain and update personnel information.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Create and implement Induction Programs for new employees.
  • Provide confidential counseling to employees when needed.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR strategies to align with business needs.
  • Promote corporate values and foster a positive working environment.
  • Manage HR document archiving.
  • Oversee the Time and Attendance system and leave administration.
