Accounts Assistant

Job Description 

Job Overview:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of a company or organization. You will work closely with the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate and efficient financial record-keeping, data entry, and various administrative tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets, and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Data Entry and Record-Keeping:** Accurately record financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses, into the accounting system. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

2. **Accounts Receivable:** Assist in invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding invoices. Maintain a clear and accurate accounts receivable ledger.

3. **Accounts Payable:** Verify and process invoices, ensuring they are properly coded and approved. Prepare and schedule payments to vendors and suppliers.

4. **Bank Reconciliation:** Reconcile bank statements with the company’s financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

5. **Expense Management:** Assist in monitoring and categorizing company expenses. Verify expense reports submitted by employees and ensure compliance with company policies.

6. **Financial Reporting:** Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, as needed. Assist in preparing financial statements for audits or reviews.

7. **Budget Support:** Collaborate with the finance team to help prepare and monitor budgets. Provide input on budget variances and help identify cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:

– A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

– Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is a plus.

– Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

– Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

– Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

– Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– Ethical and trustworthy with sensitive financial information.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: ₹10,000.00 – ₹25,000.00 per month
