Administrative Assistant

Job Description

Viterra is seeking an Administrative Assistant, to work I the Quality Control lab at Regina Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and support services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a “first point of contact” for incoming calls and visitors responding to routine inquiries.
  • Input information into appointment calendars of various managers as required.
  • Prepare and circulate agendas and related information for meetings and arranging meetings.
  • Arrange travel and accommodations.
  • Prepare, edit and format various documents, reports, spreadsheets and/or presentations.
  • Maintain filing systems and adhere to records retention schedule.
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Complete accounts payable vouchers, submit invoices for payment and may reconcile purchase card statements.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Computer proficient with demonstrated ability in the use of spreadsheet, databases, communication and word processing software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one to three (1-3) years related experience.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent and an administrative / business office certificate or Certificate of Administration.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
