Job Description 

The role of an Accounts Assistant – Warehouse Maintenance is to provide accounting support specifically focused on warehouse operations. This includes managing inventory, reconciling stock records, monitoring costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting related to warehouse activities.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse transactions.

Reconcile physical stock with the stock records in the accounting system on a regular basis.

Monitor and report on stock levels to ensure efficient inventory management and avoid stockouts or overstocking.

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of inventory control procedures.

Process and record goods receipts, transfers, and deliveries accurately and in a timely manner.

Assist in the preparation and verification of purchase orders, sales orders, and delivery notes related to warehouse activities.

Monitor and reconcile warehouse-related financial transactions, such as freight charges, storage fees, and material costs.

Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure accurate recording and valuation of stock purchases and sales.

Assist in the preparation of periodic inventory reports, including stock valuation and analysis of inventory turnover.

Support in identifying and addressing discrepancies or variances in stock records and taking necessary corrective actions.

Assist in the preparation of warehouse-related financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of warehouse-related transactions in the general ledger.

Maintain effective communication and coordination with warehouse personnel, finance department, and other stakeholders.

Stay updated with accounting standards, regulations, and best practices related to warehouse operations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience as an accounts assistant or in a similar role, preferably with exposure to warehouse operations.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, inventory management, and financial controls.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory management software is a plus.

Job Types: Regular / Permanent, Full-time

Salary: ₹20,000.00 – ₹35,000.00 per month
