Job Description 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our small business team in India. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Financial Management: Oversee and manage the company’s financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to create and manage budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to drive financial efficiency.
Monitor budget variances and work proactively to address any discrepancies.

Tax and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and filing requirements, including GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns and related documents.

Vendor and Customer Relations: Manage vendor relationships, including timely payments and resolving any payment discrepancies.
Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment terms, and billing inquiries.

Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
Assist in making financial recommendations to management based on analysis results.

Audit and Reporting: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure all necessary documentation is provided.
Generate financial reports and summaries for management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.

Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance and accounting functions, proposing and implementing streamlined processes.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and management, to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial information.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, preferably in a small business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹30,000.00 – ₹70,000.00 per month
